The Don Lopes Memorial Fly
Every year the Hawaii Performing Roller Club will hold a special fly in memory of the late Don Lopes. It will be named The Don Lopes Memorial Fly.

On October 14th, 2013 our club lost one of our own, Donald Lopes. He was a great pigeon man, good friend and supportive mentor to many. He will be missed by all those who knew him.

Donald Lopes, 75, of Kaneohe, a retired pipe welder and an Air Force veteran, died at home. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Carolyn S.; sons Donald A., Darryl, Derek and David; daughters Tracy Ching and Wendi Lopes; mother Mary V.; brothers Stanley, Dennis, Leonard and Edward; sisters Bernita Laminacak, Arlene Scheonfeld, Marie Histo and Violet Okudara; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. Tuesday at Hope Chapel-Kaneohe Bay. Services: 6 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
