Fees for this years competition are:

HPRC members - $25 for 1 kit, $45 for 2 kits

Non-HPRC members - $65 for 1 kit, $85 for 2 kits

Reason for the difference is that the HPRC has a fund that supplements the extra travel and housing expenses of the regional and finals judge.  Non-members will have to pay directly for those additional expenses.

REMINDER

YOU HAVE TO BE A MEMBER OF THE NBRC TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS COMPETITION.  YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A MEMBER OF THE HPRC

The Hawaii Performing Roller Club participates in 2 major roller pigeon flys during the year.  The first major fly of the year is the World Cup Roller Fly.  This fly usually occurs between May - July.  The second major fly of the year is the NBRC National Championship Fly.  This competition usually occurs between September - November.

The NBRC National Championship Fly is actually 2 separate flys being held at the same time.  First is the 20 bird fly and second is the 11 bird fly.

To participate in the NBRC National Championship Fly the participant HAS TO be a member of the NBRC prior to and during the regionals/finals.  The flyer has to ensure that his membership is valid and will be valid at the time of the fly to ensure that the kits entered by the flyer is counted towards the qualifier spot.

The region has to enter 10 kits to gain a qualifier in the finals.  20 kits equals 2 finalists.

A flyer can enter 2 kits in the National Championship Fly.  It can be 2 kits in either the 20 bird or 11 bird, but each kit has to consist of completely different birds.

The flyer can also enter 1 kit in each the 20 and 11 bird fly.  These kits can contain the same birds.

The NBRC National Championship Fly does not require a region to fly a minimum percentage of the kits entered.  Hypothetically speaking, a region could enter 20 kits and only fly 2 of those kits and they would qualify for the 2 qualifying spots in the finals.
